About Imprint

Imprint is a fintech that designs and manages co-branded credit cards for consumer brands, best known for programs such as the Rakuten American Express, Booking.com Genius Rewards, Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles, H-E-B and Brooks Brothers cards. Imprint is not the bank: its cards are issued by First Bank & Trust or First Electronic Bank and managed by Imprint Payments, Inc. It also manages the upcoming Fanatics American Express Card, issued by First Electronic Bank.

Imprint cards suit you if you are loyal to one of its partner brands and want rewards tied to that brand, with online account management through Imprint. The limitation: there is no general Imprint card to apply for; each card belongs to a brand and is applied for through that brand, so the rewards are only worth it if you keep shopping or traveling with it. Terms, fees and approval standards also vary by program.

Approval rules and tips

Imprint does not publish a formal limit on how often you can apply. Approval is based on your credit score, income, existing debt and recent applications — check any pre-qualification tool first, because it uses a soft inquiry.

  • Apply through the partner brand's website or app; Imprint does not offer a standalone card of its own.
  • Each program sets its own rewards and fees, so read the partner card's rates and fees table before applying.
  • Check your card's terms to see which bank issues it, First Bank & Trust or First Electronic Bank.

How to apply for a Imprint card

Apply through the partner brand's website or app, such as Rakuten or Booking.com, which links to the Imprint-powered application. Check the individual card page for any prequalification option, since terms differ by program. Have your name, address, date of birth, Social Security number and income ready. After approval, you can sign in and manage the card through Imprint's cardholder login at account.imprint.co.
